Butter Me Up
Our Fall 2023 pro-bono client was Butter Me Up, a breakfast restaurant located near Logan Circle. The cohort worked with Andre McCain, Founder of HalfSmoke + Butter Me Up, to help his and the restaurant’s story and how the restaurant has enhanced the community.
Our Work
During the semester, the cohort conducted field research. By visiting the restaurant, they were able to immerse themselves in the menu and observe factors such as ambience, consumer experiences, and competitive landscape. They used these observations to develop creative deliverables advertising the restaurant’s menu items, events, and the restaurant as a whole.

We were excited to work with Professor Kumar and the SOC3 cohort to explore content creation srategies that would allow us to promote our restaurant’s story, space, and menu items. We appreciated the cohort’s observations about our restaurant and the recommendations that they provided us. We are looking forward to using some of the creative deliverables that they came up with!
